While going through my fall/winter wardrobe, I found some shoes that were in sorry shape. There were missing heel taps, and soles that were almost worn through. My Donald Pilner, butterfly cowboy boots even had the toes coming off. Throwing away these pricey boots would have hurt so I took them to North Brooklyns best kept secret, North 11th shoe repair. “This group of watercolors were inspired by the landscapes of southern Colorado and northern new Mexico; an area of high plateaus and steep mesas, black hills worn out by prehistoric oceans and dried in the high arid altitude of the southwest. The seemlngly endless horizon here is both sparse and magical, vast enough to hold thunderstorms and lighting, blue skies and rainbows in one simple glace. So much drama is contained in just one of these bright moments.
