Dolce Vita Makes It Work with Their Tami Espadrille

Dolce Vita seems to keep doin’ it right and makin’ it work, as Tim Gunn says. But it’s true–take the Tami espadrille for instance. We chose this sandal for the upcoming season in a fun flirty green or in a keep-it-simple black because of a slew of reasons. One, DV by Dolce Vita prices sandals and shoes reasonably. For $82 the suede leather wedge is kept real with a REAL price, we all can afford. Second, we chose this sandal because it’s a heel you can actually wear and walk in. Obscene heels are hard to come by in the SM, we choose styles we would want to wear (even during our shifts) and what girls would want to wear walking out of the store in. Last, we’re head over heels (yes, pun intended) for the espadrille style–a lil’ bit of platform, a lil’ bit of wedge, and a lil’ bit of Raffia. The best of all worlds, and it works. The Tami looks good and works well.

A New Kind of TOMS: The Espadrille Wedge

Are you hip to the TOMS mega trend? You know their flat, slip-on “classic TOMS” shoe that everyone seems to want to get their hands on? Well, if you are, then get on the train of this new TOMS style and trend: the wedge espadrille. The first weekend the style was a must for “try-on” and then a sure-fire purchase after ladies experienced the comfort of this wedge. With the standard cushioned sole and the canvas material, the wedge in black, navy or red stripe is an adorable pairing to any skirt or jeans for the summer. And better yet, the sandal holds true to the affordable prices offered by TOMS: it’s only $69. A comfortable sandal for under $100? Another trend-setting winner from TOMS is bound to stay on the shelf for so long. . .

Candy Colored Espadrilles from Marais USA

Hailing from Spain, the espadrille has made its way across the world as a staple to every girl’s spring/summer wardrobe over the past few years or so. Marais USA offers you plenty of foot candy in the espadrille style for your spring/summer wardrobe and at prices you just can’t beat (we’re pricing them at $76!!). What the company does best is offer simple basics that you can use year after year. This season’s must have espadrille comes in an array of colorful canvas (we have in stock, emerald, tomato and black) while keeping true to the espadrille design, it has just a touch of rope that lines the small wedge. The sandal goes well with an array of outfits from jeans to skirts, it’s a traditional, must-have to pair up with numerous outfits. The sandal has been quite a smash hit so far, and we’re not expecting it to stop!

The Acapulco Wedge All the Way from Spain

The Acapulco wedge is back!! Our favorite and (possibly the most comfy!) wedge from 2009 is back ladies. This doesn’t mean it’s out of style. No, its classic design elements and details keep it a must have again for the next year. All the way from Spain, Eric Michael’s “Acapulco” wedge is at once recognizably soft on the foot, the padding on this baby would make a foot squeal if it could. The woven leather (in black or brown) is also soft to the foot and you won’t experience any blisters with the ankle strap like so many sandals seem to give you in the summer. What can we say, when we love something so much, we want it all over again. If you didn’t already feel the magic of Acapulco the first time around, it’s here again (for $110) so you can have a softer walk through 2010.
