Seychelles Hoot Sandal

Knowing that you might not be in the mind frame or looking for a boat shoe this season, and that in fact, you might be looking for a heel, and one say, around $100, then you need to get over to the store take a gander at Seychelles newest summer heel, the “Hoot” ($108). We think it would look great with the season’s approaching maxi dresses or even some ankle-length skirts. In a soft cream or black, either or will go with anything. So a $100 sandal that has some height and some studs, AND goes with anything? Well, that’s jut how Seychelles does it, and that’s why we’re always sure to carry something in stock from them. They do sandals right.

THE Ultimate Sandal Comfort with Rachel Comey’s Wala

Well, it’s official girls, there is no doubt about it, top of the charts, hands down this is the most comfortable sandal EVER. This Rachel Comey “Wala” sandal has a sole that is layered with the softest suede cushioning to the touch–like a mini pillow to lay your feet on is how we can best describe it. Beyond this incredible soft cushion, the sandal is a simple design with simple, soft black leather. With two brass buckles to complement the simplicity, the design sits on super light wooden platform, and when we say light, we mean light. To go along with this simple, softest sole EVER on a sandal, we’re going to keep this description simple, and short. RC’s “Wala” price: $330, what we’ve decided: Comfort is always worth the price in a summer sandal. . .

Sanita for Spring: Magda

After introducing the Sanita brand into our selection last Fall, we couldn’t stop there and decided to keep ‘em coming for Spring, so we chose carefully. And we chose the “Magda.” My absolute favorite part of the sandal: the studs. These flowering studs give something special to this clog, and is different from the typical “hand-stapled” design. It’s still hand-made clog, but looks a lil’ more polished. The soft black leather is layered in a center tri-fold giving the design a geometric look. Pair it with tights until we make it to the hot season when you can slip these on short shorts. And for a Sanita sandal, $165 isn’t a price to pass up for clog cuteness.

Swedish Hasbeens Week: Braided Sky High

Carrying on with our salute to Swedish Hasbeens this week, we have the Braided Sky High in navy. (Note: Picture above is the regular braided clog. The sky high adds another inch to the heel.) Still has all the same awesome qualities we shared before about Hasbeens: natural wood, putting the “cool” in “clunky”, and goes well with any upcoming spring/summer outfit. We go ga-ga over anything braided too (you might remember a similar Sven style last summer that encompassed with design). Plus, all Hasbeens have got real leather and hand-made qualities goin’ on. As we said last time, this ain’t no real Hasbeen, because this brand is so right now!

Swedish Hasbeen Week: 60′s Slingback

We’re so excited to be bringing you a brand new brand for Shoe Market this Spring, and to add to our clog fever that keeps rising with the upcoming seasonal temperatures. We just can’t get enough of the Swedish Hasbeens brand, so we ordered a slew of them to stock and to see on all the feet this season. Starting with the 60′s Slingback: it’s got a 4″ heel and 1″ platform in the front; layered and entwined black leather that sits hand stapled on natural wood. we love that this is one close-toed heel that has a lil’ Mary Jane-esque goin’ on with it. For $210, it’s one of those clogs that can’t be passed up. Breakout of the sandal realm with your first pair of clogs, or at to your one or two pairs–the style is here to stick. These aren’t real hasbeens, they’re Hasbeens right now. Purchase a pair today!

Spring/Summer Color Splash: Jeffrey Campbell Child

It really is time to start putting away the shades of grey and drabby black clothing and shoes right about now. Spring/Summer if anything is time to branch out with color, to make a statement with a splash. So we made sure to have JC’s “Child” wedge in stock for this purpose if for no other reason (there are other reasons. . .).  The great thing about a multi-colored sandal: it goes with everything. And we mean with everything. Denim, browns, whites, yellows, and any other fun colored dress you’re thinking of wanting to pair sandals with. The wedge is a comfortably one, despite it’s 5″ wedge height appearance. We’re fond of the cut-outs in the ankle strap as well as across the toes, just right amount of a cute, but not too cute touch. Plus, JC’s asking price is only $125, making the sandal color splash choice all that much easier.

It’s Always Sunny in Shoe Market

We always try to keep things sunny and cheerful in the shoe store, even on the rainiest or coldest days of the year. But as days start to warm up, we have a lil’ help on our side. And this season, we even have a sandal that can do it for you. Jeffrey Campbell’s “Sunny” ($154) wooden platform is here to help make everything brighter for spring and summer. It has adorable tri-colored leather straps (green, yellow, orange) knotted at the top and an ankle strap to keep you stepping strong. With a 4 1/2″ heel and 2″ platform–this is a serious wedge, but don’t be scared! Embrace it instead, and walk taller and perhaps with a sunny glow around you when wearing these sandals.
